Funds left for York Child Development & Family Services from the estate of Beverley Joan Bernier have been able to provide meaningful and relevant continuous professional learning (CPL) experiences for early years’ professionals throughout York Region. YCD’s Board of Directors established a transparent system for making funds available with a criteria and process in place for supporting early years CPL in our community.
These funds have supported the early learning and care field for 14 years (2009 – 2023) with CPL, conferences, guest speakers, training, and events. A few examples:

This funds have now come to an end but leave a legacy in the name of Beverley Bernier.
