York Child Development & Family Services Inc. (YCD) has the following openings in our non-profit, licensed child care programs. All positions are located in Newmarket. Immediately required, enthusiastic, experienced RECE (also B.A., O.T.C., C.Y.W., or Recreation Leadership Diploma) to work in Before & After School with the opportunity to supply in the middle of the day.

Thorough knowledge of the CCEYA, 2014. Hold current Standard First Aid and Infant/Child CPR Certificate, Vulnerable Sector Screen, required immunizations and other documents required for employment.

Comprehensive benefits package will be available, after 3 months, to those meeting the regular minimum hours.
Supply staff are also required to work on a casual/on call basis.

  • A Police Vulnerable Sector Check (PVSC) – dated within the last 6 months of hire, original presented and a photocopy to be retained by YCD.
  • Proof of one, 2 step T.B. skin test is required within 12 months prior to hire. Chest X-Ray (if tuberculin positive or upon request).

  • Proof of Rubella and Tetanus immunization or exemption

  • Annual Flu vaccine (recommended)
  • Varicella (chickenpox) and Hepatitis B immunizations (if susceptible)
  • Watch eLearning module: “The Code, Accommodation and Undue Hardship” This is a two-part module and takes approximately 20- 30 minutes to complete.
  • Current Certification Standard First Aid & CPR-C

  • If applicable, proof of Early Childhood Education Diploma or alternative approved qualifications (original certificates must be presented)
  • If applicable, proof of registration, in good standing, with the College of Early Childhood Educator
  • Watch the AODA video (required training)
  • Mandatory Safety & Health Awareness Training – certificate proof of training required
