Funds left for York Child Development & Family Services from the estate of Beverley Joan Bernier have been able to provide meaningful and relevant professional development experiences for early year’s professionals throughout York Region. The Board of Directors established a transparent system for making funds available with a criteria and process in place for supporting early years PD in our community.
These funds have supported the early learning and care field for 14 years (2009 – 2023) with professional development opportunities, conferences, guest speakers, training, and events. A few examples:
